Lilly worked with ex-boyfriend in New York and walked away from both work/him and moved by the sea to help run a bead and breakfast and tea-room. She lived in a cottage on the property and loved antiquing to find vintage cups/saucers to utilize in the tea room.. NO MUGS! She came across a Peter rabbit set in her quest of hunting for pieces for the tea room since stock had gotten low due to business being so busy. Such a beautiful set she couldn’t pass it up. It brought a death of the owner who wanted it back though. And the owner had married her ex-boyfriend of which they came for a little pre honeymoon. Lily would be woven into this mystery of figuring out who killed the owner of this tea set which had originally belonged to her family until the death of her mother. The half brother sold it for money because he was down on his luck as usual not knowing it had a third will hidden in it which cut her out of the inheritance but left him and his other sister the inheritance. So finding the will after she had been killed was daunting. Who done it… brother, sister, ex-boyfriend or because he was furious with Lily… pointed the finger at her??? Read to find out!

I re-read this book that I first read in 5th or 6th grade over 35 years ago. I enjoyed it again. Scotti and Lorna, almost in 8th grade, complain about their moms and come up with this great idea to swap houses for a few weeks. I just wonder if this has ever happened in real life.

The ex and his girlfriend had moved to the area a few months back and then she was hit while out on a jog early one morning in a hit and run and killed. Then theres a professor working on a project with students who is murdered in the woods with the beaus student over the professor who was murdered. Lots of clues to keep you hooked.

I started with a later book in the series, so when I started this one, wasn’t really what I thought, but by the time I got to the end had me wanting to read the next in the series. Amy is a librarian director who’s found a lady murdered in the archives. Meeting the new guy in town who wants to research some things they uncover clues which put her and her assistant and best friend Sunny in danger. Slow to start but has you wanting to read the next in the series by time your done!

Hidden Valley Road

After watching the 4-part documentary about six sons out of 12 Calvin children who lived with schizophrenia, I was more curious about this family and stoked that a book was written about them. Award-winning journalist Robert Kolker weaved both narrative stories about the Calvin family with medical information about schizophrenia and new research. To read this book, one does not need to be a medical expert. The chapters are shorter and this book is an excellent read. If I could give this book more than 5 stars, I would double it to 10.
